SATURDAY – Arrivals, Relax and Welcome Dinner
Late afternoon arrivals at our beautiful villa for the week overlooking Lake Como. We’ll arrange your transfers from local airports, hotels, or train stations in Milan or Como. Transfers are grouped together for efficiency. Once you’ve checked into your room, take time to relax — enjoy a swim in the infinity pool or simply take in the serene lake views.
In the early evening, join us for a Welcome Dinner in the Villa’s dining room overlooking the lake, where our chef will prepare a seasonal menu inspired by the region’s cuisine.
SUNDAY – Hands-on Cooking Class with a Highly Acclaimed local Chef and Afternoon in Como
After a leisurely breakfast, we begin our week of culinary exploration with a hands-on cooking class at the villa, guided by our villa chef. You’ll prepare authentic Northern Italian dishes from the Como area that we’ll then enjoy together for lunch.
In the afternoon, we head to the charming town of Como, known for its elegant architecture, boutiques, and lakeside promenade. Stroll through its historic center, visit the magnificent cathedral, and soak in the vibrant local atmosphere.
Dinner will be enjoyed in Como, at one of our favorite restaurants featuring the elevated cuisine of a famous local chef, Federico Beretta.
MONDAY – Gorgonzola Cheese Experience and Visit to Varenna
This morning, we travel to the Valsassina Valley, renowned for its artisanal cheese production. Here, we’ll visit a local gorgonzola producer to learn about the traditional aging process of this world-famous cheese. After a guided tasting, we’ll have a cheese-focused cooking class and lunch featuring regional specialties.
In the afternoon, we continue to Varenna, one of the most enchanting villages on Lake Como, where colorful houses and cobblestone streets line the waterfront. Enjoy some free time to explore before returning to the villa.
Dinner will be served at our Villa, featuring a relaxed evening menu.
TUESDAY – Private Boat Excursion on Lake Como with Visit to Bellagio and Villa Balbianello
Today we discover the lake in the most unforgettable way, aboard a private boat cruising across the sparkling waters of Lake Como. Take in the stunning views of elegant villas, possibly even George Clooney’s villa, charming lakeside towns, and the surrounding Alps. We’ll stop in the legendary town of Bellagio, often called the “Pearl of the Lake.” Enjoy lunch on your own at one of Bellagio’s scenic cafés or restaurants.
Bring your swimsuit if you’d like to take a dip in the lake (towels provided).
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the stunning Villa del Balbianello, one of the lake’s most iconic villas, famous for its terraced gardens and breathtaking views (and appearances in films such as James Bond and Star Wars).
We return to Villa White in the late afternoon to relax before dinner at the villa.
WEDNESDAY – A Day in Milan: Culture, Cuisine, and Shopping
After breakfast, we head to Milan, Italy’s dynamic capital of fashion, design, and cuisine. Our professional local guide will lead us through the city’s highlights, from the magnificent Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II to the historic Brera district.
Enjoy lunch and dinner in Milan, savoring authentic Milanese cuisine in two of our hand-picked restaurants. There will be an optional break during the day for shopping. We return to our Villa after dinner.
THURSDAY – Villa Carlotta, Polenta Class and Sommelier-paired Dinner
Late in the morning, depart in comfort for the elegant lakeside town of Menaggio, where a leisurely lunch awaits at a local restaurant celebrating the region’s rich culinary heritage.
In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the exquisite Villa Carlotta, renowned for its extraordinary botanical gardens, impressive art collections, and sweeping views across Lake Como.
As evening falls, we drive to a charming mountain village for an intimate introduction to alpine gastronomy. Here, a local chef shares the art of traditional polenta in an exclusive demonstration, revealing time-honored techniques.
The experience continues with a beautifully curated dinner, where each course is thoughtfully paired with exceptional wines selected by a professional sommelier, an elegant expression of the region’s flavors and traditions.
Return to the villa in the evening, enriched by a day of culture, cuisine, and breathtaking scenery.
FRIDAY – Michelin Star Cooking Experience and Farewell Dinner
Our final full day begins with a Michelin Star cooking lesson in Como, led by Chef Mauro Elli, one of the region’s most celebrated chefs. You’ll enjoy a refined, full hands-on culinary experience followed by lunch with the chef.
The afternoon offers free time in Como for shopping, sightseeing, or simply enjoying an espresso by the lake.
In the evening, we gather back at the Villa for our special Arrivederci Dinner and farewell celebration, a perfect finale to a week of culinary discovery and friendship.
SATURDAY – Departures and Transfers
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to friends and Lake Como. Check-out is in the early to mid- morning, and we’ll provide transfers to local airports, hotels, or train stations in Como or Milan. Transfers are grouped together for efficiency.

We provide small group vacations and try to be flexible in accommodating your needs as best as possible. Because it’s a culinary vacation, expect a wide variety of local and regional Italian cuisine. We ask that guests embrace authentic Italian cooking. Most allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated if given to us in advance. We offer a full schedule, but also include time to relax and enjoy each other’s company. You may add optional massages or opt out of any activity if you prefer.
